Autodesk® Mudbox® 2016 is a cost-effective digital sculpting and painting solution. Mudbox provides 3D artists with an intuitive and tactile toolset for creating and modifying high-quality 3D geometry and textures. The latest release of Mudbox, Mudbox 2016, introduces new sculpting tools, including Volume and Surface Falloff options, the Relax Brush for smoothing surfaces while trying to preserve the shape of a mesh, and a Twist feature in the Grab Brush for creating swirl-like effects on a mesh.
NEUE FEATURES – 2016
Advanced Retopology Tools - Artists can now more easily create production-quality meshes from scanned, imported, or sculpted data, with new fully automatic and user-directed options for retopologizing.
Extended Multi-Touch Workflows -The multi-touch workflows first supported in Autodesk Mudbox 2014 software have been extended to include direct manipulation of stencils on the screen, and support for certain additional devices as Wacom Intuos5 or Cintiq.
Tools for symmetrical retopologizing
Enforce topologically symmetrical results when retopologizing meshes.
Efficient layer grouping
Organize Sculpt Layers and Paint Layers into layer groups to more quickly and easily identify certain layers in complex scenes.
Maya interoperability for textures (enhanced)
Import and export Ptex and multitile UV textures to and from Maya.
Maya image plane matching (enhanced)
Enjoy a smoother multiproduct modeling workflow when using images for reference in both Maya and Mudbox software.
Maya Blend Shape interoperability (enhanced)
Create Blend Shapes in Mudbox and merge them into a Maya scene via Layer Groups.
Texture export and updating (enhanced)
An enhanced texture export and updating workflow enables you to set different export paths for different channels and paint layers.
Caliper tool for proportional measurement
Measure the distance between two points on a model or along a curve.
Support for Intel HD graphics 4000
Run Mudbox on certain hardware configurations with processors that employ Intel HD graphics 4000.
